Event Information Form

Events during the 2026 W.C. Handy Music Festival are anticipated to begin Wednesday, July 15th and last through Sunday July 26th (with the possibility of additional activities before and after that span of dates). We would love to include your event in our official schedule, please fill out the information below. Your event name MUST be short, simple, and should NOT include the word “Festival” in the title. (Events lasting more than four hours may require more than one fee.)

    Will your event be held rain or shine, postponed, delayed, canceled, or moved to an alternate location?


    Who is paying the listing fees for your event? Unless you or your organization are paying the cost yourself, please fill out the sponsor form. Important notice: for multiple sponsors to be listed in the official Handy Festival brochure and on the Handy Festival website, payments must be made to Music Preservation Society Inc. or to W.C. Handy Festival. Ten percent (10%) will be retained to help underwrite Festival operating costs. Let us know if an invoice is required. Certain non-profit organizations may be exempt from this requirement. These fees cover the cost of printing, website hosting and maintenance, required music licenses, staffing, some insurance, etc.

    Services Needed
    The Handy Festival Steering Committee may be able to negotiate lower pricing on some services. Check the services below that you would like the Festival to arrange for your event. (A checklist is available upon request.)

    Invoicing

    A fee of $350.00 will be required per event. Fees for two or more events are $300.00 each.
